September 30, 2025 - PNC Update #12

Dear Christ Pres Family,

Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support as our Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) seeks God’s direction for our next pastor.

Since our last update, we have had further communication with the candidate we told you about previously. We remain encouraged by how open and honest he has been with us.  We want to honor his sense of what would work best for himself and his family. His ideal timeline for availability is later than we had hoped. Because of this, we believe it is wise to continue walking in prayer with him and his family while also keeping the door open to conversations with other candidates the Lord may bring our way.

This is not a step backward, but a brief pause to faithfully listen for God’s leading so that we may move forward together with clarity, unity, and joy. We remain deeply grateful for your prayers during this time, and we invite you to continue praying specifically for:

• Clear direction from the Holy Spirit,

• Wisdom and unity for our committee,

• Discernment and peace for those considering a call, and

• God’s provision for Christ Pres in this next season of ministry.

We trust that God is at work and will make His will clear in His perfect timing —and when that time comes, we believe it will be accompanied by a shared sense of joy and excitement for us as a PNC and as a church family.
