Dear Christ Pres Family,

We wanted to take a minute to share an update on the progress of the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC). At our most recent meeting (last Sunday), we sadly had to accept Hayden Braxton's resignation from the PNC. Due to personal life circumstances, he conveyed that he did not feel he could faithfully serve in the way he felt was needed at this point in time. Neither the Session nor members of the PNC felt a need to replace Hayden at this juncture and are incredibly grateful for all the work Hayden has put in to date.

Evaluating Candidates: To date, we have received 11 applications, with 9 of those still actively under consideration. We continue to be impressed by the quality of the candidate pool. As we listen to sermons, review materials, and conduct interviews and reference checks, we are committed to thoroughly evaluating each one.

Our plan right now is to continue accepting new applications until we extend a call to a candidate, or until around mid-February which coincides with the time period most job posting sites keep listings active. If we get to mid-February without identifying the right pastor, we will revisit our job postings, repost and resume our search.
