Spring Forward!

Just a friendly reminder that we lose an hour Sat night/Sun morning.

Show the love with Johnson Elementary

We have an opportunity to provide breakfast again for Johnson Elementary teachers and staff on Friday, March 22nd. Food items could be brought to the school on the 22nd by 7:15am, or could be dropped off at the church the night before. Baked goods, fruit, yogurt, quiche, etc would be great! Please contact Cherilyn Christie if you are able to provide something for this event.

Early Registration Ends Tonight!

From the Planning Team:

Hop to it, friends!

Early registration (AND childcare registration) for our 2019 conference ends at 11:59pm THIS THURSDAY, February 28th. If you haven't yet, make sure to get your $15 tickets now before the prices goes up to $20.

To sweeten the deal, here's what we've got for you: on Monday we'll draw one name from our list of early registrants to win a copy of The Common Rule: Habits of Purpose for an Age of Distraction, written by our 2019 keynote, Justin Earley. Repeat: you have GOT to be in that early registrant pool for a chance to win.

Here's what's we've got lined up for this year's conference...

Habits for the Common Good

Saturday, March 16th

Union Seminary (3401 Brook Road)

Justin Earley, author of The Common Rule: Habits of Purpose for an Age of Distraction, will serve as our keynote as we work together to answer these questions:

1. How is the structure of modern life in Richmond shaping our habits in positive and negative ways?

2. What habits must change in your life, your work, and our city for the sake of the common good?

We'll also hear insight on our topic from local speakers:

Erin Rose, Worship Director and Teaching Pastor at East End Fellowship and vocalist with Urban Doxology

Alex Brito, Partner at CURE.

Our morning will conclude with a Q&A moderated by Becca Payne, freelance writer and communications director at Third Church.

Parking will be available on the street and in the lot at Veritas School, located directly across Brook Road from the seminary.

Your conference registration fee includes a $5 voucher to be used for lunch at a local restaurant (TBA) where we’ll have the chance to continue our conversations inspired by the morning’s discussion.

We can't wait to see you!

Show the Love with Johnson Elementary

We have an opportunity to provide lunch/dinner foods for Johnson Elementary School on Thursday, February 7th. Teachers will be meeting with parents for conferences that day from 2:45pm until after 6:00pm, so we will be providing food for them during this busy time. Food will need to be dropped off at the school between 2:15 and 2:45pm. Please contact Cherilyn Christie if you are able to bring something to the school that day, or if you are able to bring something to the church ahead of time that could be picked up around 2:00pm to be taken to the school. Salads, chips, drinks, fruit, cookies, sandwiches, and other items that would not need to be heated would be great. Thanks!
