The Women’s Group that meets on Sunday mornings will begin meeting for the Fall Semester on Sunday, Sept. 16th. We meet from 9:20-10:35 in the library. We will be reading John Ortberg’s Love Beyond Reason and discussing a chapter each week, discovering together more of God’s character and his transforming power that helps us to love as He loves. All women are welcome! Contact Marilyn Metzler (804-683-5990 or firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details or to obtain book.
Here’s a blurb about the book:
“How do you explain a love that has no explanation? What will happen if you let it touch your heart? God loves you not because you are flawless, not because you are a perfect person, but just because you are. Dispelling your fears and misconceptions of God, Love Beyond Reason brings you face-to-face with the Love that frees and empowers you to love.”
Explore in the MANSE: A study of scripture through PArticipaTION that focuses on LOVE as described in God’s Word. We will seek not only to learn what the Scriptures have to say but to apply it to our internal, relational, and spiritual lives. We will begin on September 16 with the Great Commandment as found in Matthew 22: 34-40 and Mark 12: 28-34 then similarly in Luke 10:25-28. Subsequently we will follow the guiding of the Holy Spirit to direct us in this study on love. This group is open to all and meets 9:30-10:30 a.m. Contact Bob Andrews with any questions.
