Releasing this generation to be free to be all that God made them to be. To take hold of a faith that transforms their lives throughout the week and throughout their lives- and to be released in freedom to worship God and to realize all that God has for them. One verse we are praying through is Exodus 8:1: The Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me." The freedom to be released from bondages bringing this generation down, so that they may worship!
When: Wednesday June 28th at Noon through Saturday July 1 at 1 PM
Where: Virginia State University (1 Hayden Drive, Petersburg, VA 23806)
What: Grace Youth Retreat began 16 years ago as a joint youth retreat among a few churches with the help of the Atlantic Korean American Presbytery (AKAP), a division of the Mid-Atlantic Synod of Presbyterian Church USA. In the first year, Grace Retreat 2001 was held at a retreat center near King’s Dominion with 130 participants from 9 churches. In 2012, God brought nearly 500 participants from 4 states (MD, VA, NC, and NJ) and over 40 churches from multiple denominations. There are two tracks devoted to the young people who will attend Grace Retreat. Track One consists of middle school and high school students. Track Two consists of college students and young adults age 18-25.
Worship: Grace Retreat Worship is more than just music and songs. It’s a banner of worship being lifted from a combination of churches on the East Coast and is unified adoration of the King of Kings. This year, the Grace Retreat Worship Team consists of 12 members from 3 different churches and is set to see His manifest presence wherever they worship.
Cost: $75 per person (thanks to St. Giles, this 3 day retreat is being offered at a significantly reduced rate – we hope you can attend and bring a friend). Please bring your registration form, signed consent form and a check made out to St. Giles on/before Wednesday May 31, 2017.
