Tripper and Cherilyn Christie will be hosting a community group book study this fall. The book we will be working from is, "Welcoming Justice: God's Movement Toward Beloved Community," by Charles Marsh and John Perkins. The book focuses on God's vision for racial reconciliation and a unified church, reflecting on the work God has already done in this area, and exploring how He may be calling us to join Him in the ongoing work He is doing in our midst today. For a more in depth summary, look at the description on Amazon.

The group will meet twice a month, on the first and third Saturdays of the month, starting on Saturday October 1st. Meetings will be at the Christies' home (2824 Groveland Ave, 23222), from 6pm-10pm, and will include potluck dinner, book discussion, and prayer.

All adults are welcome (no children please). Feel free to invite friends from outside Christ Pres as well. If you are interested in coming or have questions, please contact Tripper (804-517-0884) or Cherilyn (804-517-0971) so we can get a head count.
